News and Events: Easter Week

We just got back from celebrating Easter with our  community in Versailles, KY.  It is always a fun and relaxing time to be with our Sisters. Sister Cecilia, Kas and Emily provided the entertainment by putting on a play for us.  We enjoyed the good meals prepared by the Taylor Manor's kitchen staff .  By going to Taylor Manor we are able to be with our retired Sisters and enjoy their company.  Like any family, we like to make time to be together.  It is important to share with each other and to get away from the daily work. So we spent time praying  and playing together.

On Wednesday, Sister Patricia Jean and Sister Mary Faustina are going to Glascow, Ky to talk to the CCD students at St. Helen Parish.  If you are in the area, please stop by and say hello to the sisters.  We are honored to be asked to come back to St. Helen's. The sisters like to share their vocation stories and encourage young people to be open to God's will in their lives.   The following week they will be taking a trip to Kansas to be with the students at Benedictine College in Atchinson, Kansas.  This will be the first time our community has been to the Vocation Fair at Benedictine College.  They are looking forward to meeting new people and seeing the campus.  Again, if you are in the Atchinson area, come to the Vocation Fair and meet the sisters.

Last month Sister Patricia Jean, Sister Cecilia and I went to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Campbellsville, KY.  We gave a day-long retreat to the RCIA class, Confirmation class and their sponsors.  We were given a warm, Campbellsville welcome! The members of the parish and their pastor made us feel right at home.  Our Lady of Perpetual Help is Sister Cecilia's home parish so we were able to spent some time with her family and meet her friends from the parish. The retreat went well and we were impressed with the questions that were asked.  We look forward to being able to return next year to give another retreat.
